The Blackmans are my father's side of the family, through his father.
The name in Poland was more like Blachman, or Blajchman. My family immigrated to Toronto, Canada.
The Cott Family originally came from Bialystok, Poland.
The Cotts are my mother's side of the family, through her father.
The name in Poland could have been Kot, Kosz, Kotz or Katz. Members of this family immigrated to Toronto, Canada, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Miklaszki Family originally came from Orla, Poland, a little town outside of Bialystok.
The Miklaszkis are on my mother's side of the famly, through her mother.
Their name has various spellings, including but certainly not limited to: Miklawsky, Miklaska, Miklasky, Miklavsky and Miklaski.
The Hermalin Family originally came from Ostrowiec/Ostrovtse, Poland.
They are on my father's side of the family, through his father.
The name has various spellings, including: Hermelin, Harmlin, Hermalin, Harmolin, Germelin, Garmelin and Germalin, etc.
The Weinberg Family originally came from Opatow and/or Ostrowiec/Ostrovtse, Poland.
They are on my father's side of the family, through his father.
The name has various spellings, including: Wineberg, Wajnberg, Wajnbergier
